A recent event caused me to start thinking about starting a blog to talk about my life as a fuzzy girl and woman, so that others can hopefully learn from me.
I should start by defining my term fuzzy. A fuzzy girl or woman has noticeable hairs on her arms and most of her body. These hairs are usually soft and range from average (yes, some people think average-length arm hair on girls is too much!) to up to about 2 inches long, sometimes more. I'm not talking about thick, manly hairs on our legs, armpits and you know where 😉 after puberty or those caused by hirsutism which is often a sign of a medical condition and can likely be treated by treating the underlying cause. I'm talking about what most girls and women naturally are - fuzzy 😀.
As a fuzzy girl, I hated those hairs all over my body. I started shaving at 9, years before I started growing that thick manly hairs that almost every girl and woman shaves. But I didn't just shave my legs. I shaved my arms. I shaved my face. I shaved my neck. I shaved everywhere I could reach. I did this for many years and suffered from depression, low self-image and esteem, a huge lack of confidence, not to mention the teasing and bullying I got for my noticeable arm hair.
Yet I've been able to evolve from that over a long time to where I'm now confident and proud of my fuzziness. Now I want to share my experiences so other fuzzy girls and women might learn from them.
Showoff those arms girls! 😀
